As any cacao farmer or craft chocolate maker will tell you, transforming a cacao seed into a chocolate bar is a complex process. The Chocolate Seed gently explains the chocolate making process to children and their carers using gorgeous illustrations and a soothing rhythm.
It's such a fascinating subject that we wish we had learned growing up. Appreciating where chocolate comes from and all of the people involved is so important – and it's truly magical to think that chocolate grows on trees!
Nettie Atkisson is a former nursery school director, mother of 3 and certified chocolate educator. She eats a lot of chocolate and creates content for craft chocolate makers.
Recommended for 0-5yrs (but is such a lovely story for any age to enjoy!)
