After watching an episode of Saturday Kitchen, where Rick Stein visited Bare Bones Chocolate in Glasgow, I knew I had to get my hands on some especially after seeing their preparation and packaging methods.
Obviously being so far away in London, a trip to the HQ was not on the cards but after a very speedy delivery, I was very lucky to be in possession of a mini bar collection. I begrudgingly shared with my family who also agreed it's one of the best chocolate they've ever had and to be able to share such good high quality, sustainably sourced chocolate with them was a real real treat.
What I also loved about the minis is that it almost felt like a good way to sample their stock before committing to a full sized bar which - let's be honest - is expensive but I totally believe in the "get what you pay for" ethos. There's nothing wrong with having a Bounty or KitKat but it's also nice to try the other end of the spectrum too! All in moderation and whatever your budget allows.
Whilst, I'm not sure when I'll next be in Glasgow, I'll definitely be placing an order for full sized bars in the very near future!
